Level 1 Ultrasonic Inspection Classroom Course
Nondestructive Inspection Certification Courses
This course provides the student with 40 hours of Level 1 training in the fundamentals of Ultrasonic Testing methods. This course will introduce the student to the basic concepts and principles and includes hands-on training using Ultrasonic Testing equipment settings and functions. Both contact and immersion methods are reviewed. The Ultrasonic theories presented will provide the knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing required and enable the student to work with individuals qualified and certified to gain needed experience for qualification as Level 1.
APPLICABLE STANDARDS AND DOCUMENTS This training program was developed to meet the commercial, aerospace and customer requirements to include: ASNT SNT-TC-1A; NAS 410; and ASTM E317, E127 and E428 Standards for Ultrasonic Testing.

Arcadia Aerospace Industries, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, the Charlotte County Technical Center and the Career & Service Centers of Southwest Florida have teamed together to provide workforce training and recruitment programs here in the Sunny Southwest Florida area. These programs are designed to help candidates work toward globally recognized certifications and build a career in the field of Nondestructive Inspection (NDI).
These courses are designed for candidates looking for additional career training or even a new specialty in NDI Ultrasonics.
Our Ultrasonic Testing Level 1 course will be offered at our facility. This is a comprehensive beginner course for candidates with little to no experience in ultrasonic testing. The program will provide a blend of ultrasonic theory, instrument operation along with industry profiles that include global applications. This training will provide clear understanding on ultrasonic principles, inspection procedure, recording of results, equipment operation as well as touch upon specifics in areas like flaw detection, thickness gauging, angle beam, contact and immersion testing. In addition this course is aimed at providing the candidate with the 40-hour classroom requirement for a Level 1 certification in accordance with the American Society for Nondestructive Testing SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189 and the National Aerospace Standard NAS-410.
